Message: We discovered the Harbor Inn as part of our summer-long exploration of the Southern New England coastline. Though our shore town and beach experiences were among our all-time most memorable, we found that we definitely needed a break from classic hotel and motel lodging. So, we decided to try something a little bit different for our last get-away of the season. To say that we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The Harbor Inn not only offered us an ideal jumping-off point to all area beaches, restaurants and recreation venues, but this historic Inn itself provided us the opportunity to "stay at home" for a relaxing glass of wine on the porch, or an evening conversation with fellow boarders. Be prepared for shared dining and bathroom facilities. But your host and chef, Catherine, will make certain that the above will only add to this unique experience. Great place. We are truly fortunate to have discovered the Harbor Inn. We will surely return.

Message: I have been here many times, as a kid and as an adult. There is just something about Westport that makes you feel like you belong there and makes you want to go back. The harbor inn has its own personality and spirit unlike any other place I have ever visited in my lifetime. The family that owns it could not be more pleasant and inviting. The environmental consciousness of the family helps insure that Westport will remain the jewel it is. The outdoor activities I have enjoyed here to name a few are swimming at the beach, jumping off elephant of rock, diving for claims, snorkeling in horseshoe bay, bike riding, and kayaking.. Staying here gave me some of my best memories and I plan to make more as time goes on.. Make sure you visit this place. There is no other like it. -Michael Nick.

Message: The Harbor Inn in Acoaxet is BY FAR my favorite vacation spot. You feel as if you're sharing the same experiences as sailors did in the 1800s. The beaches in Acoaxet are some of the finest on the east coast. The Harbor Inn is a close 2-3 minute walk from the nearest beach. The staff do a great job making you feel as if you're apart of the Steinke family. I cannot stress the value of vacationing at the Harbor Inn. I would %100 recommend. I have already planned a trip to take my family/friends to visit next summer!
