Winthrop Arms Hotel & Restaurant

Message: The location of this quaint hotel is picture perfect! It doesn’t get better than looking out your window to see the ocean except being able to walk out to it and actually enjoy the waves! With its old school appeal, you really feel like your going back in time…. you can even smell the vintage energy in the air. If the scent of being in a vintage clothing store doesn’t bother you then this place will charm your socks off!

Message: My Daughter was stuck at Logan due to the terrible airlines. ALL of the nearby hotels were full. She was quite distressed. I searched and scrolled down to find The Winthrop Arms and they had rooms available. I made a reservation online which was very easy and then called to give them the story of my distressed daughter on her way there and could they please have some food ready and her room key for when she arrived. They did all of that without hesitation, and they were very nice about it. I wish I had gotten their names but I have a feeling that everyone who works there is nice. She loved the food, the service and the room, and she loved the area that it is located. She made it to her destination the next day well fed and well rested. Thanks to all who made a bad day turn out to be a good night.

Message: My stay at the hotel on the 2nd floor was overall excellent. Room was very clean. The air conditioner cooled the room down nicely. Water pressure was excellent. Parking was included - there is a short walk with stairs from off-street parking to hotel. The WiFi worked really well. No desk in the room, only a small table, which may not be ideal if you'll spend a lot of time on a computer. My favorite part was being walking distance to Winthrop Beach, and the beach vibe of the neighborhood.

Message: All I can say was WOW! This is such a nice little hotel in a beautiful neighborhood - I slept with my windows open and heard birds in the morning! The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are new and fresh, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and there was parking! Then you add in the fact it is so close to the airport (10 minutes drive) and has tons in walking distance like coffee shops & excellent restaurants. The best bonus is that the restaurant just downstairs had delicious food (I highly recommend the pot pie! ) and yummy drinks. I can't say enough how impressed I was with the value and convenience. Bravo Winthrop Arms I will certainly be back!

Message: Beautiful room, quiet, the only issues were the front door after 10pm, they provide a key but it was difficult to unlock. Another small issue was they left us with only 1 washcloth, lots of towels but only 1 washcloth for 3 of us. Also no hand soap, we used body wash. We checked all the cabinets and drawers in the bathroom to be sure we didn't miss them.

Message: First time there. Since it's a residential area, parking was a little tough. Didn't notice a parking lot. We were only there for dinner since we are locals. The food was excellent! From the appetizer to the entre. We can't wait to go back.

Message: Ate in the bar area. Had the wings for the appetizer. Very good. My friend had the chicken pot pie. He loved it. I had the blackened salmon. So good. Service was awesome.
