Newbury Guest House

Message: Spent 2 nights here for our sons College Graduation. I picked it based on reviews and it happened to be one of the better deals during a high demand weekend. I still paid a lot of money for this place but it is what it is when your in the city. The room was immaculate, honestly 10 stars on cleanliness. If you are staying in a 1 bed room be aware if you are a person of larger size you will have a tough time in the bathroom and shower. Extremely small for anyone who is large. I recommend reserving a room with 2 beds to get a bigger bathroom and shower. I am a very petite person and found the shower tight even for me. The staff were hospitable as well. Great location right on Newbury Street in the middle of the action. Parking is not ideal, very tight, you must leave your keys so they can juggle the cars around which I didn't care for but its the city. I am spoiled in the suburbs with ample parking everywhere. Anyway, I would definitely stay here again if I needed a place in the city. PS the coffee machine in lobby was great! Thank you Newbury Guest House!

Message: It's a beautiful property right in the heart of Newbury St., staff was superb and efficient.. the rooms were super comfortable, and the cleanliness was too high standards.. totally recommend it! Thank you, everyone!

Message: We loved this place. Were lucky enough to get a room on the 4th floor(we like views). It still has bits of character from being an old building- for us that's a feature. But everything was clean, neat, comfortable, an also bright & airy-which was impressive considering the size limitations old building represent. Only complaint is the lack of signage if you enter from parking in the back alley. We had to sorta guess which way the lobby was to check in.

Message: Very comfortable rooms with a relaxed environment. Mark was very helpful and friendly, he helped us whenever we had questions. The Newbury Guest House made our stay in Boston very enjoyable.

Message: Super cozy, clean, quiet and in the heart of everything! What a pleasure to have stayed here. It's also adjacent to an absolutely lovely French restaurant. Will definitely stay here again.

Message: I enjoyed my stay in this boutique hotel with lots of character and style. I was able to take the elevator up to the fourth floor where my room was located but note that when entering from the Newbury Entrance you need to climb up some stairs with luggage. There is a water refilling tea and coffee station next to reception. The property has a very central location right in the heart of Newbury Street. My room was very quiet and comfortable. I will be happy to stay here again when I come back to Boston.

Message: We were in town for a graduation. We'd never stayed at the Guest House before, but it's an instant favorite. Everything about it was great: location, comfort, cleanliness, staff. We reserved parking in advance (highly recommend), which is available at a fair and reasonable rate just behind the building. Although it's located right in a busy part of Newbury Street, and our 2nd floor room overlooked Newbury Street, it was quiet, especially in the evening hours. There are more restaurants that you can count within walking distance, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For those who get up early, fresh coffee is available in the lobby. Overall, highly recommended.
